Book a soccer player for your corporate event

Published September 22, 2026 · updated October 3, 2026

A client reception, employee conference and product launch call for different roles. Trendex helps your brand or agency choose a soccer player, or develop a request for a specific name, and negotiate the appearance and commercial scope with the player’s team.

Start with the audience, location, date and what you want the player to do. Define time on site and content use before comparing proposals. A profile in a directory does not confirm availability or a booking.

Client case: Blaise Matuidi on stage for a U.S. business audience

In summer 2026, around the World Cup, Blaise Matuidi took part in an event in the United States for a business audience. He brought the World Cup trophy won by France in 2018 and gave a talk on stage.

The format combined a World Cup champion’s presence with a speaking session for professionals. For your event, define the audience, the player’s role and the speaking format. Matuidi’s participation and the trophy’s presence at another event require separate review and confirmation.

Choose the event role before choosing the name

Keynote or employee session
Set the subject and intended takeaway. Review relevant speaking examples and confirm the working language. Playing achievements alone do not establish suitability for a prepared business presentation.
Moderated interview and audience Q&A
Identify the moderator, discussion themes, preparation and question-selection process. Build an exchange around relevant experiences rather than assuming a standard speech will fit your audience.
Client meet-and-greet, photos or signing
Specify guest numbers, time slots and the experience expected for each guest. Assign responsibility for hosting, photography and guest flow.
Product launch or brand activation
Separate attendance, product participation, press interviews and advertising deliverables. Make each requested activity visible in the proposal instead of assuming one appearance covers them all.

A preferred player or an open shortlist

If your idea depends on a particular player, name them and explain the essential dates and activities. Through direct access to the relevant players’ teams, Trendex can take forward the request and help negotiate and close the partnership. Availability, permissions and final terms remain specific to the assignment.

For an open shortlist, assess recognition among your actual guests, language, presentation experience and relevance to the event. Current players, former players and coaches offer different possibilities to investigate; retirement alone does not establish availability.

What to include in a corporate appearance request

  1. Audience and purpose: customers, employees or partners, expected attendance and what the session should help achieve.
  2. Location and timing: city, state and venue, or virtual format; event date, time zone, on-site schedule and any preparation or rehearsal.
  3. Player participation: format, topic, working language, moderator, guest interaction, photos, signing and media requests.
  4. Content: recording, livestream, recap, publishing accounts and any later advertising use.
  5. Investment: budget and currency, separating the appearance from travel, accommodation, production, interpretation and agency services.
  6. Decisions: who approves the player, program and budget, your required decision date and acceptable alternatives.

Compare proposals using the same scope. Ask whether each item is included, optional, excluded or still to be confirmed. Our athlete budget guide explains planning components; a profile’s estimate is not an event quote.

An appearance and an endorsement are different requests

List the intended use of each photo or video: a private album, internal recap, brand social channels, partner distribution or paid ads. Set out the requested channels, territories, languages and duration for review with the player’s team.

Do not announce an ambassador relationship simply because you are discussing attendance. If the event also includes an ad shoot, make that a separate deliverable with its own creative, timing, approval and distribution requirements. Compare shoots, player posts and brand distribution before finalizing the request.

If you are still deciding between an appearance, a campaign and an ongoing partnership, use the six-step athlete hiring guide to compare those routes before preparing the event brief.

Planning a U.S. event with international soccer talent

Identify the city and state, time zone, audience and hosting language. For your guest group, consider which leagues, teams or players they actually follow; general global recognition does not establish relevance to a particular audience.

Assign owners for travel, local hosting, interpretation and any project-specific formalities that need specialist confirmation. Keep the event location separate from where recordings or advertising will be distributed. If a French-speaking team is preparing an event in France, Canada, Belgium or Switzerland, use our French event planning guide.

Turn a request into a confirmed event plan

Frame the brief, assess the player and feasibility, discuss the proposal, agree the commitments and prepare the appearance with the people delivering the event. Name the coordinators for the player, venue, stage, production and communications.

Track requested, proposed and confirmed arrangements separately. Agree how a date change, format change or unavailability would be handled in this particular engagement. A reply to an inquiry is not confirmation that you can advertise the player’s attendance.

Your event planning note

Prepare and review your event summary in the brief. To request a review by Trendex, enter a reply email and choose “Send my brief”. You can also copy or download the summary. Nothing is sent automatically; a receipt confirms your request, not a player’s availability, a fee or a booking.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a soccer player appearance cost?
The proposal depends on the player, format, dates, time commitment, travel and content use. Share an investment range and compare the complete scope. Profile estimates are planning references, not player-approved prices.
Can we request a speaking session and photos?
You can include both in the brief. Specify time, guest numbers and intended photo use so the full request can be assessed and agreed.
How early should we start?
Share the request once you can explain the event and its fixed dates. There is no universal booking lead time: availability, agreement and event preparation need separate confirmation.
